cerita weekend

Assalamualaikum :)

last weekend i manage to cook AND bake!! yup sila percaya yer..on saturday morning had roti canai and roti telur cikgu tapau dari kedai dekat rumah...tetapi walau dekat, stgh jam baru dapat siap...he just ordered 1 roti telur (for me) and 3 roti canai kosong...yg roti telur tuh yang lama...luckily its cikgu yang pegi beli, kalau aku, mau cancel jer order...i know the stall memang ramai customer tapi agak2laa takkan nak habiskan semua yang order makan baru nak buat sekeping yang order bungkus nih kan...n knowing my husband, dia kurang sikit nak push2 orang, tunggu jelaa dalam geram pastu merungut kat rumah...takla sedap sangat pun...best lagi kat mamak...lenkali sila call jer bgtau takde...boleh jer tukar order...ai tak makan orang yangggg...

then lunch i cooked a bit late...kul 1baru start, kul 2pm setel...masak simple jer...sambal tumis udang, kailan and sotong tumis bawang putih and telur dadar...masak tu jer pun sejam...hahaha...masak sambal takleh multi task basuh pinggan kang sambal hangit...dah banyak kali kena...sebab masak kat area yard, sinki plak kat dlm...n usually nak sambal cepat garing, aku kuatkan sikit api...kalau tak consistently kacau, memang hangitlaa...harini bawak balance makan lunch kat opis kang...jimatt sangat...hee...

Alhamdulillah, tghari tuh anak2 makan banyak jugaklaa...tau jelaa my picky eaters nih...mikhail kalau lucky, dapatlaa 3 suap...yana plak bersyarat2 nak makan...nak 5 suap JER...dia yang kira plak tuh...lebih taknak...kadang sajer buat2 salah kira nak bagi dia makan lebih sikit...lepas makan nasi boleh plak mintak aiskrim laa apa...kata dah kenyang?! macam2 peel tau bebudak nih...but that day mikhail makan almost 15 suap...haa...aku siap kira okeh...yana macam biasa nak 5 suap jer tapi aku suap besar2 masuk mulut...hahaha...puas hati...aku sekarang memang sajer tak bagi susu unless diorang mintak sebab nak suruh diorang makan lebih sikit...malam pun makan...tapi tak banyak sangat, oklaa...slowly develop their appetite...ni yang buat aku nak masak selalu nih...

on sunday i'm involved in Puteri UMNO program in the morning...then shoot back home as cikgu have this farewell lunch for standard 6 student at corus hotel...waa...babah nak makan sedaplaa...so after my short nap was interrupted few times by the kids, i finally get up and make us some spageti bolognese express style...Alhamdulillah we have beef salami my mom gave me...kalau nak tunggu minced beef lembut memang xmakanlaa jawabnyer...aku goreng sikit salami yang dah sliced thin, bila dah garing sket masuk sliced onion and garlic (garlic mesti lebih), then pour in the prego sos, masuk air, masuk diced mushroom and diced onion, masuk spageti bolognese spices, gula sikit to lessen the sour of the sos and after the diced onion dah transparent, siap...

sambil buat spageti tuh, sempat buat cupcake...dapat resepi senang kat blog curlybabe (refer my sidebar for the link)...cupcake gula melaka...bahan xbanyak, memang ada kat rumah and pakai blender jer...mixer belum ada, so limitedlaa nak membaking2 selalu :( i know ariana only like chocolate base cake tapi nak pujuk dia makan, i let her sprinkle the cupcake with chocolate rice and colorful topping...as expected, dia gigit atas jer...hahaha...jadilaa...bila tanya cikgu, dia kata ok...pastu yana plak tanya "sedap ke tak sedap babah?" baru dia cakap "sedaaappp" hahaha...terpaksa ke yang? cupcake tuh slightly burnt coz aku tak sabar bila tengok apsal 160 degree xmasak2 after 30minits (resepi said 20min 160degree) so aku pegi naikkan suhu and bake for another 10minit...hangit sket tapi rasa still ok...hehehe...nak jugakkk!!!

pun begitu, aku memang jenis yang sayang and taknak membazir, so i gave some to my old tenant...pilih yang kurang legam sket nak bagi orang...hahaha...dia bawak anak2 mandi pool while aku bawak ariana main basikal...cikgu and mikhail tido kat rumah...kesian kat budak 2 hari terperuk dalam rumah, tak dapat pegi jauh, main kat keliling kondo pun jadilaa...oh, masa dia pindah keluar, wife dia pregnant...rupanya dah 8bulan++ and baru sekarang dapat jumpa baby dia...nama baby nih kareem...comel sangat and baik plak tuh...

im so sorry baby for making your mommy pack during pregnant...idk...

country decor design

Assalamualaikum :)

harini nak belanja cuci mata...sejak duk rumah sendiri, daiso, mr. DIY, kaison, ikea macam memanggil2 jer...lagi2 sejak aku join FB group deko rumah ku syurga ku...makin minat plak nak mendeko2 rumah...sana lagi gila...cantik2 rumah diorang...tapi diorang mostly suka english style...ada yang sweet sangat, ada yang sarat sangat...ada tuh mintak pandangan...bila kita cakap sarat, marah pulak...hmmm

aku tak brapa minat english style...my taste more to country tapi tak suka kayu2...macam dalam rancangan kat LI tuh; Summer Home...haa...suka sesuatu ruang tuh nampak warm and inviting...macam sedap bergolek2, cuddle, bersandar doing things we like macam baca buku ke, main board game ke, tengok tv ker...haa...paham tak? and hiasan pun tak suka sarat sangat and biar hiasan yang praktikal jer like vase, picture frame, candle or storage box yang cute2...currently deko rumah ikut bajetlaa...like this month beli ini, next month beli itu...kalau takde bajet, kita beli frame ke, hiasan comel2 kat daiso, kaison ke, beli artificial flower, tukar2 kedudukan...and im lucky that my husband nih handy...dia sukalaa mendrill sana sini...build itu ini...but of cos ikut mood rajin dialaa...hehehe

kadang tuh semua tempat dia nak pasang shelves...dengar dia start pasang drill, aku pun gelabahla tanya nak pasang apa? kat mana? hahaha deko queen control sangat tau...hehehe...our taste were never the same...at the end he always have to surrender to my choice sebab...ehem, sebab im the wifelaa...kemas mengemas kan keje ompompuan...kalau ikut taste dia, dia suka campur2...situ kayu, situ besi, situ kain, lebih kurang gitulaa...kaler pun biar campur2...sometimes my choice do have to consider his taste so yang terlalu feminin like floral pattern or pink/purple color memang aku elaklaa...mostly i will choose neutral or geometric pattern...kasi canlaa...tolak ansur kan resepi rumahtangga bahagia...ecewah...oklaa, dah tak tau nak bebel apa...gambar rumah sendiri taknak tunjuk dulu...orang kata belum siap so, tunggu sikit lagi...ordered a single seater and a storage bench...nanti bila dah sampai brg2 tuh and dah siap langsir, barulaa boleh tunjuk before and after...

jom tengok gambar2 ruang tamu yang aku suka...nak amik idea sikit2...

simple jer tapi macam serasi jer semua furniture dia...maybe coz they used the same color hue in the design...tengok sofa tuh pun dah rasa nak nap kat situ :P

My Dream Kitchen. Finally :)

its been more than 2 months since we moved into our current house :) but apart from my beautiful dream kitchen (to me of cos) and half painting job done, thats it. we just don't have the time. the last time we had weekend to ourselves was probably 4-5 months ago. i miss staying at home without clearing boxes, spring clean everything (if i clean on saturday, sunday boleh rileks sket). i miss going out to the malls without any intentions to buy anything. taking my time going through each shops, trying out new clothes, eating out without constantly looking at the watch. no, im not talking about my single life. im talking about quality family time. but im relieved now that most things that was on my to do list has been sort out bit by bit.

one of the thing that i am busy with was the renovation of MY our kitchen cabinets. we appoint azhar as our contractor recommended by cikgu's friend who is renovating his house. the old kitchen cabinets from the previous owner is still there but the corner of the sink has damaged due to water leaking. the tenant kept quiet about the leak until we came to see the house before they move out. dah nak roboh baru bagitau...at least if they inform us sooner we cud prevent the leaking from damaging the cabinets kan...

the water leaking from the pipe and meleleh ke corner tuh...it form a pool and lama2 kayu tuh pun kembang...under the pots tuh dah rupa apa dah...

and this is under the sink. *facepalm!!!*

the upper part of the cabinet is still in good condition just some of the shelves dah melengkung.

the cooking area pun ok coz the counter top is brick and tiles unlike the countertop at the cabinets.

initially i plan to tear everything and make a new one from scratch. and then bila fikir we cud reuse some of it and just add in things we need, azhar came up with this plan.

- totally make over the cooking area from vertical to horizontal to make room for the hood.

- maintain some cabinet on the upperpart. change the doors and make the left cabinet as same size as the rest.

- add in covered cabinets at top to fully utilise the space and make no room for dirt.

- totally change the lower part. make it stretch from end to end. to make room for the new build in oven, we have to put the fridge elsewhere.

and then after much thought, i maintain the cooking area and go on with the rest of the plan. and since its vertical and facing the window, we cudn't install the hood and now the hood is open for sale at rm800 negotiable. totally new, still in box, brand faber. can email me at luv_arlene@hotmail.com for further details :)

i have this as my inspiration. love the colour, the clean lines, simple yet elegant doors. the shapes are synchronized from top to bottom. i dont like so many different type of shelving. semak mata memandang. classic but not too traditional i can say.

and then we go shopping for our tiles kat jalan ipoh... do you know there are like dozens of tiles shops there? forget white horse factory...sini pun ada white horse...

bring these 2 kids along. on saturday. the shops are crowded. why suddenly semorang nak buat rumah nih? big mistake. we only lasted about 20 minutes before sorang mintak susu, sorang mintak turun nak berlari in between the tiles...eeekkkk...dah, jom balik...

i take halfday the next day and went back with cikgu and the contractor. aman...

berkenan yang ini...dulu everytime tgk magazine mesti tunjuk kat cikgu...nak macam nih tau...tapi kalau nak penuhkan backsplash area sink with these, mahal gilers ok...sekeping camni, about 8x14inch is about RM30 sekeping...SEKEPING ok...i want to be realistic...memang nak buat dapur idaman but this is just an apartment...i cud rent it out when we got ourselves a bigger house inshaaAllah...so tak perlu nak mahal2 sangatlah kan...sayang kalau tenant tak reti jaga nanti...

suka jugak yang ini. comel, affordable tapi cikgu tak setuju pulak...pintu cabinet dah putih, dia kata takkan nak putih lagi...well, i like my kitchen to be bright and wide...

another option coz this one look a little masculine...tapi hati sudah lekat sama bunga2 tadila..

in the end dah pening2 we choose yang bulat2 kaler light brown tuh to be the backsplash at the sink and border. and the rest yang plain same kaler at the bottom tuh...

my tiles all in place...i choose wide granite tiles as counter top...dah cakap nak uli2 aidilfitri nanti...nak tebar tepung, nak potong2 sayur kalau takde chopping board...

we bought our oven, hood and hob from sen heng earlier before they start coz they wanna measure the size before making the frames of the cabinets. we also ask for new shelves in the cabinet to replace the bent ones.

TADAAA!!! (ok, sorry for the tilt picture. dunno whats wrong with this blogger upload)...i purposely ask for frosted mint green glass to add a little color to my white kitchen...that yellow wall will be painted mint as well...love love LOVE my new kitchen. i cud sleep here!

i bought these underlayer mat from DIY shop. they make my inner cabinet a little brighter and fun doncha think?they have so many pattern. of cos this madam pick her favourite colour and pattern. now i can arrange my plates instead of keep it in the box...

im still surveiying to make my kitchen cozier...i wanna mount some plates on the wall. some artwork and flowers will bright it up, right? baby steps, alin...baby steps...

now, apa citer ngan my hall and bedrooms? hmmmmmm....

impian rumah idaman

aku nak share plan asal untuk rumah idaman aku...kita story benda yang tak menjadi dululah yer...tema aku warm livingroom, bright kitchen, cozy bedroom...haa gitulaa memula plannyer...

living room

aku tengok gambar nih, aku berkenan pulak nak buat striped wall gini...ada border kayu kat tgh pastu belah atas striped besar2, belah bawah plain...nampak fresh kan? tapi nak warm, kaler aku nak guna 2 tone of grey...tapi cikgu dah try cat stripe kat bilik kecik, line semuanya tak smooth...nampak berurat2...kontraktor cakap sebab dinding tak licin...camna pun cat gelap memang boleh serap masuk...melainkan plaster balik dinding dengan simen halus bagi smooth...isyh...tak kosserla...so, stripe takleh buat, border pun tapayahla...wallpaper, buat masa nih tak penting...itu bila dah pindah masuk pun boleh buat...kita cat plain jer dulu...

cantik kan? tapi memang kena kreatif and teliti nak design stripe multicolor nih...

bilik tidur utama

aku suka ada tempat duduk kat tepi tingkap macam nih...feeling2 rapunzel sangat tau...kengkonon tunggu putera berkuda datang panjat menara...hihihi...tapi master bedroom aku tak besar, kita buat yang mana boleh jelaa...nak cat n pasang railing tinggi ke siling macam nih...aku nak bilik yang cozy tapi xpilih lagi warna cat...any idea?

bilik tidur kedua, aku nak cat kaler pink...konon bilik ariana/guest roomlaa...KALAU dia boleh tido sendiri...aku nak letak tilam queen and somethrow cushions jer...almari sebijik, cermin and wall shelf. done

bilik tidur ke3 buat entertainment room, bilik tv, main ps ke, tgk dvd ke and bilik main...almari bebudak and toys pun letak sini...kira bilik nih macam stor gaklaa...dah, itu jer bilik2 nyer...

nih lagi satu plan nak buat kat balcony...cantik kan...rumah aku tingkat 17, bolehlaa memalam nak lepak menikmati pemandangan...TAPIIIIII aku gayatt...buatnyer anak2 panjat bangku tuh nak jengah ke bawah? nauzubillah...so plan nih kiv, n grill akan sentiasa berkunci...and kunci kita letak tempat tinggi...anak2 kalau korg nak panjat grill sampai ke siling pun, silakanlah...

dapur

dapur aku comel jer...adalaa besar2 macam dalam gambar kat atas nih...asalnya kabinet dah ada...tapi bahagian sinki tuh leaking so table top n part of kabinet belah bawah dah nak roboh...alang2 nak kena buat yang bawah, kita tukar skali pintu atas kasi coordinate...part nih aku cerewet sikitlaa...and mostly aku keluar duit B aku ke sini so haruslaa cerewet kan...dapur, oven, hood, sinki dah beli...tinggal nak build in kabinet and pasang...nanti detail before and after aku citer lain entry k...

aku nak kabinet warna putih and ada pintu glass frosted kaler green macam kat atas nih...tapi aku tanak bingkai aluminium gitu...aku lagi suka design klasik tak lapuk dek zaman...and aku suka clean line...kabinet semua sama saiz jer...tanak pintu besar kecik lebar tinggi campur aduk...and aku suka kayu tapi aku tau kayu mahal so nak nampak macam kayu, tapi murah boleh? hehehe

haaa...macam nih...nampak tak clean line, kayu, ada knob, ada glass, kemas jer kan?

rabu harituh dah start dah keje2 kontraktor, we'll see the result nanti k...lepas nih kalau tak rajin masak jugak taktaulaa...
